New Dark Knight Trailer is Out!
The new Dark Knight Trailer is out!
For those of you who don't know what "Dark Knight" is, it's the sequel to the hugely popular "Batman Begins" with Christian Bale.
The new trailer is going to be shown in conjunction with the theatrical release of the IMAX version of "I Am Legend".
In Dark Knight, we have a "new" villain, Joker, played by Heath Ledger. And the Dark Knight Trailer will feature a 6-minute prologue of the Joker.
It should be cool.
Don't worry if you can't get to the IMAX version of I am Legend, as they apparently are going to be releasing the same 6-minute trailer at the official Dark Knight website sometime next week. (The website is: thedarkknight.warnerbros.com)

I Am Legend Review
I Am Legend Review - Has Will Smith Done It Again?
Don't read if you are planning on seeing the movie. There are a ton of spoilers here!
A Synopsis of I Am Legend:
Will Smith plays Robert Neville, a uber-smart scinetist. A manmade, incurable virus sweep over the land and Robert Neville is the "last" survivor (in th world).
Or is he?
The people who got infected has turned into carnivorous monsters that infects anything trying to stop them.
Neville seems oblivious to these beings and for three years he scavenges for food while sending out radio signals to see if he can make contact with anyone.
javascript:void(0)
Publish Post
The plot then moves onto the obvious. Smith's character Neville decides to create an "anti-virus" to stop the effects of this virus using his own blood (since he is apparently immune).
In essence it's a new twist on a "vampire" flick, where Neville becomes legendary amongst these being, hence the name "I am Legend".
Is it good. Sure. But I have to say the book was better... (but it always is).

Rock Band Special Edition PS2 Bundle
The New Rock Band Special Edition PS2 Bundle is now slated for a December 18th release, while Europe will get theirs sometime in the first quarter of 2008.
The Rock Band Special Edition Bundle includes a microphone, a Fender Stratocaster controller, drum kit and a USB hub.
The other cool thing about Rock Band Special Edition is that some of the big music publisher gave access to the master recordings, from punk, rock (both alternative and classic) and heavy metal.
I'm thinking this'll be sweet!

Kid Nation Application Forms
Where to get Kid Nation Application Forms for next season?
It's funny that there's so much excitement about kid nation sign ups for next year. Considering the fact that people were all of themselves crying "Child Abuse"... yet in the end, no such thing happened.
It even got to the point where New Mexico's Attorney General investigated the show (it was filmed in New Mexico), and again... the charges were dropped.
But the question remains as to whether Kid Nation will be back on the air for another season. Will they take another group of kids for 40 consecutive days to film it?
A CBS spokesperson has stated that CBS is unsure whether they will film another season. Apparently they have already done the casting and even some pre-production work in case it gets picked up for another season.
One thing that did change in the Kid Nation Application process is that they now require both the children and their parents to have passports.
The season finale is scheduled for tonight.

Ryanair 2008 Charity Calendar
There's a buzz right now about the new Ryanair 2008 Charity Calendar. Ryanair, an economy airline has put scantily clad stewardesses posing either in or in front of an airplane in their new calendar.
The Spanish Women's Institute (a government run organization) has put in a formal complaint to EU and the Irish authorities.
Ryanair says the stewardesses posed willingly as it is for a good cause.

Rosario Dawson in Seven Pounds
Rosario Dawson is currently in the final negotiating stages to star opposite Will Smith in the film "Seven Pounds".
This film is written by Grant Nieporte, and Smith stars as a guilt-ridden man who inadvertently falls in love while attempting to kill himself. Dawson plays a love interest who suffers from a serious heart condition, that apparently dies at the end.
Depressing!
Anyway, Woody Harrelson is also tied to this movie and is reportedly also in final negotiations to be part of this film.
Filming is scheduled to begin in January.

Roseanne Cash Recovers From Chiari Type I Malformation
Roseanne Cash Recovers From Chiari Type I Malformation. She underwent brain surgery and is expected to recover 100%.
Roseanne Cash is the daughter of the late Johnny Cash (the eldest of five siblings).
Chiari Malformation is characterized by herniation of the cerebellum through the large opening in the base of the skull (foramen magnum) into the spinal canal. The herniated tissue blocks the circulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain and can lead to the formation of a cavity (syrinx) within the spinal cord. There are three main types of CM. CM1, the simplest and most prevalent form, is generally considered to be a congenital malformation, although acquired cases are recognized.

JackAss 2.5 Coming Out For Christmas?
The word on the street is that Johnny Knoxville and the gang are secretly shooting segments for JackAss 2.5.
When Jackass 2 was released Johnny had mentioned that they actually had 40 extra minutes of footage (outtakes etc.) that they would like to use. So, the rumor is that they are shooting more footage for a DVD release of JackAss 2.5.
It should be funny...

W00t is the Word of the Year
W00t has been chosen as Merriam-Webster's Word of the Year for 2007. Facebook was actually the runner up for Word of the Year.
Merriam-Webster's president, John Morse, said "w00t" was an ideal choice for the word of the year, because it blends whimsy and new technology.
So what does W00t stand for?
According to the Wikipedia, the origin of the word is disputed. Some say it's an acronym for "We own other team"; while say it comes from players of D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) and is short for "Wow, Loot".
In the end it doesn't matter much.
But it's cool to see a hybrid word of letters and numbers actually become a "real word".
Ok, here's the definition of W00t, th word of the year 2007:
1. w00t (interjection)
expressing joy (it could be after a triumph, or for no reason at all); similar in use to the word "yay"
w00t! I won the contest!

Stephenie Meyer is quoted on her website as saying of this casting announcement:
"I am ecstatic with Summit’s choice for Edward. There are very few actors who can look both dangerous and beautiful at the same time, and even fewer who I can picture in my head as Edward. Robert Pattinson is going to be amazing."
The Twilight Movie will start production sometime in February of 2008. Krisin Stewart, from the movie "Panic Room", also has a role in this movie as the character Bella Swan.

Hilary Swank and her Oz Garcia Longevity Pak
Hilary Swank takes over 45 pills every single day. These are all vitamins and supplements... but that seems a bit excessive to me.
She says the most important part of her supplement stash is the Oz Garcia Longevity Pak.
Dr. Oz Garcia is an author and nutritional advisor (plus he has a Ph.D. to his name), and has become known as the "Nutritionist to the Stars".
He released a book called "Look and Feel Fabulous forever", where he discusses how one can increase their quality of life and reduce the effects of aging .
Most experts in the health field agree that taking supplements are important to feel great.
In any event, the Oz Garcia Longevity Pak is a collection of supplements for Anti-Aging. What's included?
Here are some of the ingredients: hormone precursors, DHEA (a supposed new form), amino acids, vitamins, minerals, kola nut derivatives, botanicals and herb extracts.
In any event, these are all natural hormone boosters that are supposedly great for your body.
Here Oz Garcia talks about Living Well: Supplements and Nutraceuticals

Arthur Blank a Racist? His Fried Chicken Comment
Is Arthur Blank, the owner of the Atlanta Falcons a Racist?
In this clip below, which was taken last night, he comments that Michael Vick is not going to be the same player when he gets out of jail because of all the "fried chicken"...
Was he being a racist? I don't think it was intended as a racial slur... but it appears that quite a few people think it was.
Not a good choice of words considering the circumstances. What was he thinking!

Sara Bareilles - I'm Not Gonna Write You A Love Song
Sara Bareilles is a newcomer to the music industry.
So far she has released one independent album besides her current major-label album, Little Voice.
As with all new shaky relationships, e.g. her new label, she has turned her frustrations into a hit love song: "I'm Not Gonna Write You A Love Song".
It's funny considering there's a chorus in this song that rings: “I’m not gonna write you a love song ‘cause you tell me it’s make or breaking this.”
Liz Bowles, from The New Bern Sun Journal had the opportunity to interview Sara recently, where she said:
“It’s directed at the idea of my record label, actually,” said Bareilles. “It came out of frustration with feeling like I wasn’t pleasing anybody with my writing, and it was a song that came out just for me to try to get back to the focus of songwriting and my original intentions of doing it. It was just a little stick it to them.”
‘Sticking it to them’ seems to have worked out well for both artists as well as music fans everywhere. Bareilles reaps the benefits of a hot single pushing her debut album further up the charts.
Here's Sara Bareilles on the "Late Late Show" singing her love song:

CNS Girls Gone Wild Creator Cries Foul!
Joe Francis, the creator of CNS Girls Gone Wild, is currently held in custody for charges of Tax Evasion.
He has cried "foul" and claims that guards at the Oklahoma City based Grady County Law Enforcement Center of abusing him during his stay there.
Joe Francis has been held since April of this year and his claim is that the guards denied him blankets and food. He also said they threatened to strap him down to a chair, naked, for forty-eight hours.
Is he being set up?
I'm not saying that filming under-age girls for his CNS Girls Gone Wild videos is right, but Francis is not getting a fair treatment... or is he?

The Hills Finale - They Wrap Up Season 3
The Hills Finale is on tonight on MTV.
MTV is promising a shocker of a finale tonight (actually the shocker was promised for the after show), with Lauren promising to make a "life changing" decision.
The questions are many:
Will Spencer and Heidi actually get married?
Will Lauren & Heidi ever become friends again?
Will Audrina get back together with Justin? (I hope not, he's a freakin' loser)
Will Lauren & Whitney go to Paris?
Will they admit that this whole series is scripted and fake?
No matter what, there's some "good" news. Lauren Conrad has agreed to do a fourth season of the show.
If you missed any of the episodes of this season of The Hills, be sure to tune in at 7pm for a The Hills Marathon, with the finale starting at 10pm.
Here's a sneak preview of the "The Hills Finale":

Queen Latifah Engagement
Queen Latifah finally comes out of the closet... and it's rumored that she is now engaged to her long time girlfriend Jeanette Jenkins (who was also her personal trainer).
They will publicly announce their engagement after Queen Latifah wraps up the promotion of her current movie "Perfect Holiday".
MediaTakeout.com is one of the sites that claim ownership to this juicy tidbit. They said: "We can tell you that we're 100% sure on this one. And we can also tell you that ABSOLUTELY NO ONE in the media (no magazines, no bloggers, no TV stations, no radio personalities - NO ONE) else is reporting this story right now."

Larry Page Wedding
Larry Page, one of Google's co-founders, gets married to Lucy Southworth on Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson's 74-acre British Virgin Islands hideaway.
And apparently Sir Richard also performed the duties of "Best Man" for the wedding.
In 2006, Lucy Southworth was identified as Larry Page's girlfriend. Who would think she would be the one to wed the world's most eligible bachelors.
Ms. Southworth is studying for a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics at Stanford, the same university that Larry went to for his doctorate until he decided to drop out and pay 100% attention to Google (not a bad decision).
By the way, the guest list for this wedding included Hollywood celebrities such as Leo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp...

Renee Sloan Ties The Knot With Scott Baio
Renee Sloan is the one that "tamed" 45-year old Scott Baio at a rooftop wedding of a luxury high-rise in Los Angeles.
Believe it or not, the wedding of Renee, a former Playboy playmate, and Scott was filmed for the second season of "Scott Baio is 45 and Single" and will air in January.
I'm thinking that show won't last too long, now that he'll be 46 and MARRIED.
Scott and Renee has a 1-month old daughter. Renee also has an 18 year old daughter from a previous marriage.

Ultimate Fighter 7
Ultimate Fighter 7 Coaches Being Announced
After Ultimate Fighter 6 showdown, Dana White announced the first of the coaches for the new Ultimate Fighter 7 season.
They have chosen Forrest Griffin, the winner of Ultimate Fighter 1 as one of the coaches. While the second coach has yet to be announced, it is likely that it will be the current light heavyweight champ Quentin "Rampage" Jackson.
This makes sense since Forrest Griffin is the current number 1 contender for the Light Heavyweight crown.
What I don't understand is why they are going to delay this fight for another four or five months (or however long it takes Ultimate Fighter 7 to finish filming). I guess they are allowing both fighters to recover from their injuries...
They are officially announcing the second coach during the Video Game Awards tonight on SpikeTV

Heroes of Telemark
The Heroes of Telemark is a movie made back in 1965 starring Kirk Douglas. The movie is about the Norwegian Heavy Water Sabotage at the Vemork Hydroelectric plan in 1943 in the town of Rjukan, Norway. The "Telemark" in the title refers to the region or rather the "prefecture" in Norway where Rjukan is located.
Due to the the inaccuracies in the movie Heroes of Telemark, Ray Mears made a documentary of the "real" event titled The Real Heroes of Telemark.
There was also another movie made in 1948 called Kampen om Tungtvannet (the fight for the heavywater).
The actual operations, codenamed "Freshman", "Grouse" and "Gunnerside" — were finally successful in sabotaging the plant in 1943 ending the fight for the heavywater, and effectively ending the Germans attempt to build a Hydrogen bomb.
The British SOE claimed later that this was the most successful operation of World War 2.

Jason and the Argonauts
Jason and the Argonauts is a Greek myth about a hero named Jason with his ship Argo and his crew, who together came to be known as the Argonauts.
It was originally popularized by the movie: "Jason and The Argonauts" filmed in 1963 and remade for TV again as two-part movie in 2000.
Mary Zimmerman also wrote a play called Argonautika, which premiered in 2006. It is currently playing in the bay area at Berkeley Rep.
Here's a summary from the Bay Area Reporter today of the story of Jason:
"King Pelias of Thessaly, who believes Jason is fated to destroy him, sends him on a seemingly impossible sea-faring mission to recover the Golden Fleece from the king of Colchis, who provides his own set of horrible hoops through which Jason must jump. He does so with a little help from some friendly goddesses, as well as Medea, whose pre-maternal backstory puts her future actions in clearer perspective. Jason triumphs, but this being a big fat Greek yarn, there are serious downsides to his victories."
The story of Jason and the Argonauts is also known as "The Quest for the Golden Fleece".

Tyson Beckford in Hotel California
Tyson Beckford will be starring in an upcoming movie called Hotel California, starring opposite Erik Palladino, Simon Rex and Tatyana Ali.
If you've never heard of Tyson before... hmmm, you're probably living under a rock.
He's a supermodel turned actor and you've probably seen him in movies like Zoolander, where he played himself, and "Into The Blue" starring opposite Paul Walker and Jessica Alba.
He signed a 2-year exclusive deal with Ralph Lauren back in 1993 and in '95 won the "VH1 Model of the Year" award.
He currently hosts "Make Me a Supermodel", a modeling competition, with Niki Taylor.
In 2005, Tyson slapped a $5-million lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs, for using his likeness without his permission when promoting his clothing line Sean John.

Will Rene Russo Appear in Thomas Crown Affair Sequal?
Recent reports tells that Rene Russo will not appear as Pierce Brosnan's opposite in the upcoming Thomas Crown Affair 2, which starts shooting in January.
Pierce Brosnan, who will also be producing this film about a bored-to-death Multi-Millionaire (or was it Billionaire) who has a knack for thievery, will opposite a love interest that has yet to be cast. However, we do know the name of this character, which is Nadia Badri.
The original reports of this movie told us that Thomas Crown Sequal was going to be named "The Topkapi Affair", however we have been told that this name has been dropped in favor of the more original "Thomas Crown Affair 2".
Paul Verhoeven, best known for directing Basic Instinct, will be directing this movie.
In any event, I'm sad to see that Rene Russo won't be back for this... but I am looking forward to this sequel.

Donald Trump Tip
Donald Trump tips a waiter $10,000 after complimenting him on his service. And get this, his actual bill was $82.27!
Billy D., a waiter at the Buffalo Club in Santa Monica was the lucky fella' who receive this huge tip on Monday.
Mr. Trump denies having giving this tip... actually he denies having been in California. But you wonder why Billy D. would make something like that up.
Here's a video of the lucky waiter:
If Big D actually did give the tip... well, I guess he isn't such a cheapskate after all!

Speed Racer Movie - First Look
USA Today released pictures from the upcoming movie Speed Racer today. I was pretty excited when I heard that Speed Racer was being directed by the Wachowski Brothers (the same guys that did the Matrix series).
The photos look pretty weird, almost like a video game (in my opinion)... so I'm curious as to how it will turn out. By the way, Matthew Fox plays Racer X (the main character in Speed Racer).
You can see more images over at USA TODAY courtesy of Warner Bros.
The Speed Racer Trailer will debut tonight on Entertainment Tonight.
Great... I can't get the Speed Racer tune out of my head.

Ricki Lake and John Mayer hooked up... really?
The guys and gals over at the New York Times' Page Six are insinuating that John Mayer, a relatively talented artist who can probably pick up just about anybody, have hooked up with Ricki Lake!
According to the Page Six crew, they met at a holiday party by Sunshine Sachs on Tuesday where John upon meeting Ricki Lake said: "I've had a crush on you for two years."
After meeting they exchanged phone numbers and texted each other throughout the night...
Am I missing something?
This is the weirdest thing I've heard since I read that Lance Armstrong and Ashley Olsen hooked up.

Ray Park Cast As Snake Eyes in GI Joe
Ray Park has been cast as Snake Eyes in the upcoming GI Joe movie by Stephen Sommer.
For those of you who don't know Snake Eyes... he was one of the original cast members of GI Joe and is a U.S. Army Sergeant First Class (E-7) as well as a "Ninja Master". Sort of fitting that I'm writing this today... since today is the official Ninja Day as well. :)
According to some sources, Paramount is targeting February as the start date for the shooting.
Ray is best known for his part as Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode 1 as well as the character "Toad" in X-men the movie.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Beach Photos - Should she really be in a Bikini?
Did you guys catch Jennifer Love Hewitt's Beach Photos?
Holy Sh*t! That's just not right... I don't know what else to say.
Because of the trashing she has received on various online properties... Jennifer posted a blog post about her beach photos...
She says:
"I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image ... Like all women out there should, I love my body."
Everybody has been on her "ass" (pun intended)... but let's try to give her some slack... :)

I am Legend Ending... Will Smith Spoils The Ending!
You'd think Will Smith would know better than to spill the beans and give the ending of "I am Legend", his latest film slated for release on December 14th.
During a press conference in Tokyo, Will got loose lipped and spoiled the "I am Legend" ending while the co-producer and co-screenwriter Akiva Goldman screamed "Don't Give away the ending!".
The press then proceeded to bombard them with questions... the press-handlers did however ask all of those present to keep the ending a secret.
Considering the number of big blockbuster movies Will has done, it's pretty amazing that he was so careless by giving away the ending like this... you wonder if it was another way to get more buzz towards the upcoming release of "I am Legend"...
